Smile 2 is a great film and an excellent sequel to Smile, which is rare. Naomi Scott is simply incredible in this movie.
I've always found her beautiful, but I completely overlooked her talent as an actress until I saw Smile 2Instead of falling into caricature, she managed to elevate the film with her performance, creating a charismatic, complex, and tormented character
Achieving this level of depth in a horror movie is rare, reminiscent of Sigourney Weaver in Alien 2, who also crafted a complex character in a genre film. The ending felt a little bit too easy, and the twist wasn't very surprising for those who have seen the first Smile. However, you can tell the writer aimed to create a sequel that fits within the universe, with some interesting ideas.Overall, it was a real pleasure, and that comes from someone who's become quite hard to satisfy recently due to disappointing films at the box office.
