An agnostic sex podcaster and a newly minted rabbi fall in love and figure out if their relationship will survive their wildly different lives and meddling families. Originally, the series was called “Shiksa,” which is also the last word of the first episode. Adam Brody and Kristen Bell have incredible on-screen chemistry. I really enjoyed this show – it was so much more than I expected. It was easy to watch, relatable, super funny, and charming throughout the entire 10 episodes. I do wish the episodes were a little longer, though – they avoided about 26-30 minutes per episode, but that also made it super easy to watch. I binge-watched the whole thing last night. I’m eagerly waiting for Netflix to confirm another season. If there isn’t another, I’ll be disappointed. It ended on a bit of a cliffhanger, so I need more. I’m already starting my second rewatch of the series.
