As we gear up for House of Dragons, we look back at the glory that was Game of Thrones. Seasons 1 through 6 are truly excellent, right up there with The Sopranos, Breaking Bad, Mad Men, The Wire, the best of the best.
A rushed, poorly done, lazy ending and a slap in the face to fans new and old
Season 7 was a dip in quality, but still somewhat enjoyable, then came Season 8, which was a blunder of epic proportions. That said, nothing can detract from the wild, brilliant, emotional ride that is seasons 1-6 of Game of Thrones, the television show that defined a decade and changed pop culture forever.
