In the midst of an international crisis, Kate Wyler, a career diplomat, is thrust into a high-profile job she is ill-suited for, with tectonic implications for her marriage and her political future. The British government allows them to use real-life locations as filming locations for the series, including the still-new American embassy (at Nine Elms), which opened in 2018.

The only location unavailable was Winfield House, the real-life residence of the American ambassador. Although it is accurately described as occupying the largest residential plot (11 acres) in London outside of Buckingham Palace, the producers used a country house outside the city for filming purposes.

The series is about a diplomat (Keri Russell) who gets a new job as ambassador to the United Kingdom after an international crisis when an aircraft carrier is attacked. She also has a deal with her husband (Rufus Sewell), who is already a political star, and their rocky marriage.
I’m definitely looking forward to watching it and seeing where this show goes
I loved this show so much that I devoured all eight episodes in one weekend. It’s doing so well and getting such good reviews that it’s already been renewed early for another season.
